Cynthia Najdowski published a chapter titled “System disparities: Racial criminalization and the risk of coerced and false confessions in youth” in Confessions and Guilty Pleas of Youth (American Psychological Association 2026), examining how racialized stereotypes of Black youths may lead to wrongful policing, psychological threats during interrogation and wrongful convictions.
